Support for Ukraine
Declaration of solidarity with our colleagues and fellow students in and from Ukraine
The organizing committee of FDSL-15 condemns the aggression against Ukraine and stands in solidarity with all Ukrainians and all people speaking up against this illegitimate war. In particular, we express our support for colleagues and friends in Ukraine and for colleagues and friends whose liberty and safety is threatened because they are standing up against the war.
On the webpage of the Department for Slavic and Hungarian Studies (HU Berlin) we provide information about how to help at the HU, in Berlin and beyond; this webpage is in German only, but it can be accessed here.
During the conference, Anastasiia Vyshnevska mentioned another initiative that guys from her home town, Mykolaiv, came up with. They are collecting
money to drill a borehole as the town has been left without drinking water since mid April. They need to collect money and start the drilling asap.
