Social history of the Russian ethnographic novel 1860-1890

This research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) endeavours the task of indexing the Russian ethnographic novel in its prime as an independent, literarily influential genre, as yet, a systematic philological processing is still amiss. The main objective of the planned study is the conception of a transdisciplinary linked poetic of the Russian ethnographic novel that unveils and stresses perspectives of cultural studies.

 
Resignification of borders: Eurasianism and the ‘Russian world’

The publication project funded by the Center of Excellence “Cultural Foundations of Social Integration” seeks to unpack the complexities of discursive fields Eurasianism and the Russian World as a sociocultural representation of those fundamental integrationist policies in the post-Soviet space.

 
Andrei Platonov: The early years

Funded by the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation this project enables a German translation and publication of Andrei Platonov’s early writings.
