Ukrainisch im Mehrsprachigkeitskontext (UkriM): Theorie und Didaktik

In this project, we are investigating the linguistic situation of Ukrainian children who fled to Berlin from the Russian aggression and now attend kindergarten or school here. In a questionnaire study, parents are asked about their children's languages as well as their ideas and wishes for language learning opportunities at school.
A second line of the project is the analysis of language programs for learning or maintaining and expanding the Ukrainian language in various educational institutions in Germany. The findings from both lines, against the background of models of multilingual education, form the basis for the development of training programs for teachers working with Ukrainian children.

Author of the series of textbooks "Let's Speak Ukrainian" on Ukrainian as a heritage language, co-author of the textbook on Ukrainian as a foreign language "Krok-1" (A1-A2), and "Traveling in Ukraine" (B2).

▪ the terms of the language education (Ukrainian as a foreign language),
▪and the problems of their translation (Erasmus program, Jagiellonian University (Poland), October 2014 – July 2015),
▪ Ukrainian language in multilingualism in Austria (JESH scholarship, University of Vienna (Austria), April-May 2022).
