The aim of the project is to bring together universities with a strong scientific competence for Southeast European studies and to foster the joint development of modern curricula, teaching methods, and promotion strategies of young scientists. It combines students and researchers from linguistics, literature, history, social and political science to improve the education of young experts for the Balkans.
The project consists of two stages:
1. Conception of joint research seminars with both face-toface and distance teaching/learning. Development of competence-based curricula and course templates for the fields involved. Proposition of principles for competence-based, research-oriented training.
2. Establishment of a student college on SOE themes (BalkanQKolleg), where B.A. and M.A. students carry out research together with and mentored by PhD students.
